I’m Svarjit — a vocalist who learned to sing in the pews and never came down off that high. I take a room from a hush to a stomp: Sunday-morning gospel, Saturday-night blues, and rock ‘n’ roll made for the back row. Twelve years, a few hundred stages, one voice built to fill the room.
From the pews
to the stage
It started with a choir robe two sizes too big and a Sunday congregation that clapped on the two and four. Gospel taught me the lift — how to hold a note until the whole room leans in.
Then the blues found me. Late sets, low light, a guitar bending notes I could feel in my chest. The blues taught me the ache. And when the tempo climbed, rock ‘n’ roll gave me the grit to keep a crowd on its feet till last call.
Today I play weddings that need a first dance, festivals that need a headliner, and rooms that just need someone to mean every word. Three genres, one voice, and no half-measures.
